She grew up with no father leaving a void in her heart. For years, she daydreamed about the day he would finally show up and tell her how much he loved her. Who cares about why he was away for so long, she was willing to forgive because she wanted him so badly. As time passed by she realized he was never going to show up and she unconsciously looked towards others to fill that void in her heart. Somewhere else in the world, there’s another little girl without a father and not much of a mother. Every other month there is a new man in her life but none of them seem to stick around. One day her mom introduced her to a really nice man who treated her like a princess and she believed all of her dreams were coming true. He allowed her to call him “daddy” and she grew closer to him than her own mother, since she never had time for her anyway. Nine years old and everything felt perfect until her new “daddy” raped her, to make matters worse her mother didn’t believe a word she said. Her “daddy” continued to have his way with her until she ran away at fourteen. So, young and tender she did what she had to do to survive. Believe it or not, on your street or in your neighborhood there’s another little girl who is being molested by her own father. He sneaks in her room at night and expose her to things she has no business knowing as a child, nor experiencing with her father. He abuse her sexually, emotionally, mentally, and sometimes physically attempting to make her believe he touches her because he loves her. These same little girls grow up to be young women with internal scars that only God can heal. If only they had a man of integrity in their life to protect them, love them and teach them what a real man was all about. If only daddy would have stepped up and did the best he could as a parent, maybe their lives would have been different. Daddy didn’t have to be rich, they just “needed” him present and doing his parenting duties. There are little sixth grade girls having sex, traveling down a road of terror and confusion looking for love that daddy denied them. There are sixteen year old girls with aspirations to be video vixens, the next big porn star, or booty models because they were involuntarily taught that they were sex symbols, sending their bodies into sexual overdrive, lesbianism, promiscuity and God knows what else. Sadly, it doesn’t stop there, there are grown women struggling with a wild nature that they can’t seem to control, crying their eyes out at night because they hate what they are doing but can’t seem to stop. Overtaken by what daddy did to them or struggling with not having the pleasure of even knowing him. Battling to keep their legs closed when they’ve been open since they were a little girl, whether they wanted it or not. The list can go on and on as to why many women are the way that they are. The next time you enter a strip club to watch a woman take off her clothes, degrading her body and self-image for cash, remember she has a story! It may not be the story of this blog but her story is just as real. The next time you call a young girl or a grown woman “a hoe,” remember that she has a story! The next time you lust over the lady twerking on a video half naked, remember she has a story! Society is so quick to label you unworthy but they never stop to ask about your story. Yes, you should carry yourself with respect but how can you with a soul filled with severe internal wounds? That hoe has a name and behind her name is a powerful story/testimony that can save many others who are struggling in the same areas if only they can find the light of Jesus. He’s a healer, He’s a redeemer, He’s a deliverer, He’s the best father a girl could ever have and more! Then, to make it all better He loves you right where you are regardless of any label society has placed on you. That my beautiful Queen is something to rejoice about. Like the songs says “Turn it over to Jesus, He’ll work it out.”
Romans 8:37-39 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Mary Salone was a bright young woman who cared deeply about her public image. She would do whatever she had to to keep people from assuming her life was anything below great. Everyone knew she wasn’t shy about voicing her opinion about other’s and their lifestyle, since her’s was so “perfect.” Mary always traveled solo because people were too nosy and sneaky to be in her space. No one had ever been invited to her home and popping up was out of the question. Oh, how everyone hated the way Mary walked around with her designer clothes and shoes looking down her nose at other people as if they were the ground she trotted on daily. One day, Mary Salone was invited to speak at a convention in her city and she was thrilled to be amongst such prestigious members of the community. Everyone will be talking about this event so I must bring my “A game” she thought. She spent weeks preparing her speech and she even went out and bought a $900 designer purse to use as a prop during her speech. The day finally arrived for Mary to make her speech that would wow the crowd and grant her much favor with the individuals in the room. Several news reporters were on the scene as well as photographers. There were two large screens on each side of the stage for onlookers to have a closer look at what was taking place. Mary felt like a star as she worked the crowd and it was finally time to use her expensive prop. She held the purse up for everyone to see, then she placed it on the podium to pull out a surprise. As she unzipped the purse two large cockroaches crawled out and one flew in her hair. Dancing around on stage frantically to remove the roach, she tripped and fell from the stage, hitting the floor with much force. Mary was so embarrassed she laid on the ground purposely giving the illusion she was unconscious just so someone would carry her out because she was simply too ashamed to face the crowd. Needless, to say everyone was talking about that conference for months and she made the news headline.
I have learned that there are plenty of Mary Salone’s in the world…walking around judging others as if their house is squeaky clean when in reality they have ROACHES!!!! Make sure you maintain a clean house before you cast judgments towards other people. And if you are fortunate enough to have a clean home, be a blessing to others by teaching them how to clean up their lives and maintain a clean lifestyle.
Matthew 7:3 Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
Walking in darkness without any light, there is no possible way to know where I am going. I’ve grown tired of stretching my hands out in front of me feeling my way around, now I just coast in hopes that I don’t run into a wall. Where is the light? How long must I struggle before I can see even a glimpse of sunlight? I’ve been in the dark so long I’ve forgotten who I am and what I look like. How did I get here? Where’s the exit because I no longer want to dwell in darkness. I no longer want to dwell in a world of unsurety. Have you ever felt like this?
Everyone has been in a place at least once where they questioned who they are. Some of us have strayed so far from home we longer can identify the person who stares at us in the mirror. Jesus said “I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” (John 8:12). One does not have to live their life walking in circles, in darkness, without purpose…Wasting away. Why fantasize about living a peaceful life as if it could never happen? He that follows Jesus shall not walk in darkness but light. Your purpose will come to light, your talents will come to light, your life will have meaning! God can take the lowest of the low and clean them up, pulling them out the trenches of drugs, prostitution, porn, homosexuality, fornication, abuse, psychological prisons, envy, greed, etc. There is nothing too hard for God! There is nothing God can’t fix. There is no one too far into the world that God can’t nurture them back to health, a spiritual health. People are crying out for help and God is saying “Here I am” but they keep ignoring Him looking for people and things to rescue them from their troubles. They scream “I HATE MY LIFE, I JUST WANT TO DIE” and God is saying “I love you, come here, let me take that load off of you.” Slicing your wrist for lack of love that only God can give you and as the blood trickles down your arm, tears are trickling from Jesus eyes because He keeps calling you and you won’t answer Him. He can provide love, He can provide peace, He can provide finances, He can provide a healed heart, He can provide forgiveness, He can provide comfort, but how can He give it to you if you won’t accept it? If you’re looking for a way out…If you’re trying to find yourself…If you want more, more than what the world has to offer the answer is Jesus Christ of Nazareth, for He still lives.
John 5:24 Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my words and believes Him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.
A successful craftsman decides he’s going to sit down and make an invention that will surely bring him praises throughout the world. All he has ever wanted is for people to see how wonderful and loving he really is and accept the great qualities he possess. Everyday he wakes up with a new creation in mind and after he finishes his creation he sits it on a stand outside his house for onlookers to see. For years people disregarded him as well as his inventions but this time things will be different, this time people are going to acknowledge his invention because it is nothing short of greatness! The craftsman takes his time molding and providing his creation with everything it needs to operate on it’s own. Once his invention is complete, he takes it to town and shows everyone what he has made. The people in his town ridiculed him and told him it was junk and a piece of nothing that will never work. But there was one particular man in town who took notice of the craftsman invention and bought into it. The craftsman gave him the invention as a gift and the man put it to good use. Soon everyone in town wanted a part of the invention because they could now see the potential of such a creation and the craftsman was praised for his work. Now, picture yourself as the invention that people talked about and called junk. Think about how people said you would never amount to anything but yet The Craftsman, The King of Kings, The Lord of Lords, The Most High, The Most Powerful, The One and Only God said that “you” are the invention that will change the world and bring Him glory. Everyone has a purpose in life that God created us specifically for. He made you unique, He made you different, He put you in a different environment because “this time” things will be different. This creation (you) will bring change to the world! This creation will prove that I Am, that I Am and I Am God. He allowed you to be beaten and scrutinized so that when He cleans you up no one can deny how great you truly are and all praises will go to Him. Who cares what they said about you? You are God’s creation, you have purpose! Exodus 9:16 states “But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” The enemy will do everything in his power to stop you from fulfilling your purpose. He knows that some people he must begin attacking during childhood to fill their hearts and mind with fear, doubt, hatred, ignorance, jealousy, emptiness, heartache, guilt, etc. because he understands that if he allows you to be who God called you to be there isn’t a demon in hell that could come against you. That’s right, the devil doesn’t fight fair, he comes to kill, steal, and destroy. Therefore, he begins to torment you early in an attempt to stop you. The devil knows who you are but do you know who you are? If not, that’s okay because God knows exactly who you are and why He created you. All you have to do is surrender to Him and His purpose for your life and watch things turn around
Isaiah 25:1 LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago.
