Get Your Hands Out My Cookie Jar!

Isis’s found herself standing in front of her bathroom mirror, gripping onto the edge of the counter for dear life; to say she was in heat was an understatement.  She’d just gotten out of the shower in hopes of calming the sizzling uproar her hormones had caused.  To no surprise she was still a bit heated, although the shower did ease the intensity for her.  Taking in a deep breath then exhaling slowly Isis was determined to remain celibate if it killed her and from the looks of things she would surely die.  She couldn’t believe she even made it to the three month mark without giving in.  Everyone was cheering for her to fail, especially her friends who for some reason wanted her to stay wild and crazy.  Men of her past felt the need to remind her of all the things she liked instead of encouraging her desire to live better.  Her family believes “once a whore, always a whore” so they definitely wasn’t taking her celibacy seriously.  They went as far as accusing her of having a STD that she didn’t want to spread and that being her only reason for not having sex.  When the truth was actually that Isis had grown tired of the fast life.  Yeah, she enjoyed having sex but she always felt so empty after the fact.  In the beginning, it was fun making men plea and beg for her attention but now it was totally played out.  A dog had a better reputation than she did.  Isis had broken up countless marriages, her family didn’t trust her around their men, and none of her friends were really her friends.  Seriously, what real friends would allow you to pass yourself around like a baton in a race?  Or maybe that’s to be expected when they did the same things.  Isis would drink and get down in a heartbeat and she was good at it.  It wasn’t like there were not guys out there who wanted her; a few were actually good guys but she never desired a serious relationship.  She always wanted freedom to do whatever or whoever she wanted but lately it had become unbearable.  Isis had had so many abortions the doctor refused to perform anymore informing her that her body could not handle it and she may want to consider a lifestyle change.  Little did he know, that’s all she had been thinking about.

Month after month, she would promise herself she wouldn’t give in but she always did.  She hated how many sexual partners she had.  She hated the reputation she had earned around the neighborhood.  She hated how empty she had become because of her actions.  Isis broke down and cried on her bathroom floor like a baby.  She was so broken as she lied on the floor attempting to scream away her frustrations through tears.  She had no one she could call and open up to, no one!  Out of all the men she had given her body to she could not rely on one to help her in her time of despair.

Suddenly, she received a notification on her cell phone.  Isis considered ignoring it but her curiosity got the best of her due to it being 2am and everyone in her circle was out partying or up to no good.  Dragging her heavy body off the floor, she grabbed her cell phone from the counter and read her text message.

“Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds”

Strangely, there was no number only a text.  “How in the world can I have a text message without a number” Isis thought.  She rushed out of the bathroom into her kitchen, feverishly searching through her junk drawer for a small green bible she was given months ago from someone walking around Walmart parking lot.  Upon finding it, she looked for Psalm 147:3 and discovered it was accurate.  Becoming agitated Isis wanted to know who was playing on her phone.  She text back, “Who is this?” expecting it not to go through but it did.  Five minutes passed and she hadn’t received a response so she placed her phone down and grabbed a wine glass believing she had lost her mind.  As soon as she placed her hand on the wine bottle she received another text.  Frozen in place, she contemplated if she should read it.  Moving away from the wine bottle she grabbed her phone to read the message.

Psalm 91:4

Flipping through the small bible Isis read out loud, “He shall cover thee with his feathers and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.”  Tears streamed from her eyes as she fell to her knees repenting the way her mother taught her when she was a little girl.  The next day Isis called Verizon about the text messages but there was no record of her receiving anything around that time; Isis was speechless.  She made her mind up to get to know the God in the book her mother use to read faithfully before she passed away fourteen years ago.  It would be a hard road but she knew she had nothing to lose and everything to gain.  That day was her new beginning and for the first time in a long time she had genuine joy in her heart.

The Spirit Of Division

Wow! Absolutely awesome post!

Pure Glory

Unknownby Apostle Gabriel Cross

Recently, I inquired of The Lord, about a certain spirit that manifests as such: One moment I’m committed, the next moment I’m not. One moment I’m on fire for God, the next moment I’m dull. One moment I’ll do it, but never follow through. One moment I love myself, the next moment I loathe myself. I’m with you, the next moment I don’t know if I want to be with you. I can hear God, the next moment I can’t hear God. Up and down, back and forth, and the list goes on perpetually.

I asked The Lord, what is the name of this spirit?  He replied, “The spirit of division,” which is also akin to the spirit of self, second-guessing oneself, doubting oneself, drinking self hatorade, etc.

The word says, “And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a…

Power Couple

PASTORC

Tall, dark, and handsome…bold, courageous, and fearless…powerful, anointed, yet caring.  My pastor is the truth as he walks confidently into a room and humbly grace others with his wisdom only to exit and leave onlookers at awe from his charisma.  He sets the bar high for what a man of God should be.  He disciplines and pushes his flock into greatness and expects nothing less, for he see’s the potential we possess.  Every Sunday he works the altar praying for individuals contagiously spreading hope and faith into our hearts.  In the pulpit there is no one like him who can give such exegesis of the text.  However, I can not leave out his exquisite wife “The LaShawn Traylor.”  She carries herself with the prestige and elegance of the powerful business woman that she is.  It is amazing how confident she is, wrapped beautifully in humility.  Beauty and brains, faithful and anointed, compassionate and understanding, yes she is truly the best.  You may see her cruising in her Jaguar tending to Kingdom business, rocking a flower in her hair that gives that extra “umph” to her look.  This duo have taught me so much in the short period of me knowing them.  They have set the bar high simply by their lifestyles.  Not only do they talk the talk but many can attest that they too walk the walk.  Together these two form a powerful compound that makes demons tremble with fear every time their eyes open in the morning granting them another opportunity to do God’s will.  They have endured so much over the years and their perseverance is what has them celebrating 16 years of marriage as of today.  What a blessing it is to have Pastor Lionel J. Traylor and Minister LaShawn Y. Traylor as the head of our house.  I believe there are people who actually sleeps on the greatness that they carry but in due time it shall be revealed.  They started from the bottom, now they’re here and God has so much in store for them.  I’m excited and grateful to be a part of their lives as well as their ministry.  I believe in these two as a couple as well as individuals.  I’m following the vision!  Happy Anniversary Pastor & First Lady!! ❤

Get Rid of Those Roaches!!!!

SC20130713-193311-1(1)

Mary Salone was a bright young woman who cared deeply about her public image. She would do whatever she had to to keep people from assuming her life was anything below great. Everyone knew she wasn’t shy about voicing her opinion about other’s and their lifestyle, since her’s was so “perfect.” Mary always traveled solo because people were too nosy and sneaky to be in her space. No one had ever been invited to her home and popping up was out of the question. Oh, how everyone hated the way Mary walked around with her designer clothes and shoes looking down her nose at other people as if they were the ground she trotted on daily. One day, Mary Salone was invited to speak at a convention in her city and she was thrilled to be amongst such prestigious members of the community. Everyone will be talking about this event so I must bring my “A game” she thought. She spent weeks preparing her speech and she even went out and bought a $900 designer purse to use as a prop during her speech. The day finally arrived for Mary to make her speech that would wow the crowd and grant her much favor with the individuals in the room. Several news reporters were on the scene as well as photographers. There were two large screens on each side of the stage for onlookers to have a closer look at what was taking place. Mary felt like a star as she worked the crowd and it was finally time to use her expensive prop. She held the purse up for everyone to see, then she placed it on the podium to pull out a surprise. As she unzipped the purse two large cockroaches crawled out and one flew in her hair. Dancing around on stage frantically to remove the roach, she tripped and fell from the stage, hitting the floor with much force. Mary was so embarrassed she laid on the ground purposely giving the illusion she was unconscious just so someone would carry her out because she was simply too ashamed to face the crowd. Needless, to say everyone was talking about that conference for months and she made the news headline.

I have learned that there are plenty of Mary Salone’s in the world…walking around judging others as if their house is squeaky clean when in reality they have ROACHES!!!! Make sure you maintain a clean house before you cast judgments towards other people. And if you are fortunate enough to have a clean home, be a blessing to others by teaching them how to clean up their lives and maintain a clean lifestyle.

You Have A Purpose Dear

Image

A successful craftsman decides he’s going to sit down and make an invention that will surely bring him praises throughout the world.  All he has ever wanted is for people to see how wonderful and loving he really is and accept the great qualities he possess.  Everyday he wakes up with a new creation in mind and after he finishes his creation he sits it on a stand outside his house for onlookers to see.  For years people disregarded him as well as his inventions but this time things will be different, this time people are going to acknowledge his invention because it is nothing short of greatness!  The craftsman takes his time molding and providing his creation with everything it needs to operate on it’s own. Once his invention is complete, he takes it to town and shows everyone what he has made.  The people in his town ridiculed him and told him it was junk and a piece of nothing that will never work.  But there was one particular man in town who took notice of the craftsman invention and bought into it.  The craftsman gave him the invention as a gift and the man put it to good use.  Soon everyone in town wanted a part of the invention because they could now see the potential of such a creation and the craftsman was praised for his work.  Now, picture yourself as the invention that people talked about and called junk.  Think about how people said you would never amount to anything but yet The Craftsman, The King of Kings, The Lord of Lords, The Most High, The Most Powerful, The One and Only God said that “you” are the invention that will change the world and bring Him glory.  Everyone has a purpose in life that God created us specifically for.  He made you unique, He made you different, He put you in a different environment because “this time” things will be different.  This creation (you) will bring change to the world! This creation will prove that I Am, that I Am and I Am God.  He allowed you to be beaten and scrutinized so that when He cleans you up no one can deny how great you truly are and all praises will go to Him.  Who cares what they said about you?  You are God’s creation, you have purpose!  Exodus 9:16 states “But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”  The enemy will do everything in his power to stop you from fulfilling your purpose.  He knows that some people he must begin attacking during childhood to fill their hearts and mind with fear, doubt, hatred, ignorance, jealousy, emptiness, heartache, guilt, etc. because he understands that if he allows you to be who God called you to be there isn’t a demon in hell that could come against you.  That’s right, the devil doesn’t fight fair, he comes to kill, steal, and destroy.  Therefore, he begins to torment you early in an attempt to stop you.  The devil knows who you are but do you know who you are?  If not, that’s okay because God knows exactly who you are and why He created you.  All you have to do is surrender to Him and His purpose for your life and watch things turn around

Isaiah 25:1 LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago.
